C. E. Hammock writes supernatural fiction with religious themes.

He brings his long time interests in New Testament and Jesus Studies as well as his experiences as a gay person to inform and deepen his fiction.

He holds Master of Arts degrees in Religious Studies (Missouri State University, 2001) and English Literature (University of Missouri: Kansas City, 2008).

He shares his bed with two cats, sleeps with stuffed animals, and is writing a collection of children’s stories about a friendship between a sheep and a rabbit.

His stories have appeared in The Junction, The New North, Literally Literary, Lit Up, and P. S. I Love You.

He is unmarried, has no children, and lives and writes in Springfield, Missouri.

  1. From where I am sitting, you are not a pre-published author. Looking over your accomplishments, you are an author, already. Claim and own it. And as far as your writings being pretentious? Not so. Write from the heart and edit later. Words have power and maybe, yours will help move the world.

  2. Your site is awesome and your writing is great. I hope you can reach your goal of having the stories all completed this year. There are agents out there who are interested in what you write. Google can help you find them. I agree with Sheila – you are a writer. Own it!!!

    1. Thank you for your generous comment. I am going to take your advise and claim “writer.” I changed my author bio to “self-publisher author” and posted some of my stories on Amazon as e-books.
