Seven Shades of Haiku

tree-164635_1280The spring crocus steals
The heft of the white mantle
From my sulky soul

Brown rippled edges
Of glittered festive pine cones—
Love’s sparkling spines

Black storm clouds gesture
The ardent roar and stomp of
Our ritual dance

Orchards clad in Red
Provoke sharp pointed craving
That slash my facade

The Earth’s fecund loam
Incites forlorn suffering—
Green tinted passion

The blue vault swindles
The cold blast to my core from
Your injurious glare

Delight settles
Surrender thicken us into
Dusk’s yellow body
